Have you realized the extent to which a multitude of major advances in Information Technology have dramatically redefined air travel and hospitality as we all have known them? The man to thank is New Jersey’s own Mr Nicholas Bredimus. He has done everything from the creation of time-saving software programs to increasing aircraft safety and designing high value homes. With a look at Mr Nicholas Bredimus‘ family history you can easily see he was certain to achieve distinction. Traceable back to the glory days of Rome, Bredimus’ ancestry connects to much of Europe. Within the maternal line he hails from German and Scottish bloodlines. The paternal line, on the other hand, originates in England and Luxembourg, from where his forebears subsequently migrated in the late nineteenth century.
Even following emigration to the U.S.A, they kept their uncompromising work ethic and determination to thrive and survive. Growing up one of seven siblings, Nicholas had a father working as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. Mr Bredimus would dwell in the Lone Star State for several years as well as in Kansas City, MO, Scottsdale, AZ and Reston, VA. He’s taken on prominent posts for businesses throughout the airline sector — many of them highly popular brands. Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA) — all three would at different times name him as a VP. Even with these accomplishments, above all the airlines have felt the need to thank him for his work in software programming. He is probably most acclaimed for the airplane maintenance management computer program he designed on behalf of US Airways, which eventually evolved into an “old reliable” for the task. He would look next at recording and making bookings. For both air travel and hotels he produced programs to take on most of the work required until automation. Following that would come QuikTix, an automated, networked approach to ticketing which was an industry first.
He parlayed these successes into posts not at all related to software design. In his own firm — Bredimus Systems — as a divisional manager with American Express, and as the first president of AMR Travel Services his career is absolutely remarkable. These days, however, he has stepped back from his airline connections and the software design industry, although he’s still making the most of his skills. To answer the most obvious question, you can look for his work in high priced homes boasting all of the newest smart technology currently available.
