The Popularity of Seo Theory

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:14 pm

A few years ago if you wanted to learn about search engine optimization all you had to do was visit a few SEO forums, ask some basic questions, and read the pinned threads that offered canned tips for beginners. About half the SEO bloggers of the mid-2000s wrote SEO tutorials and ebooks, all of them very bad and misinformed, but they were enough to get people started in the right general direction. Unfortunately, if you followed any of these SEO gurus for any length of time you quickly learned they were doing all this stuff by the seats of their pants because they quickly ran out of ideas.

Once an SEO blogger has exhausted all his good material he starts writing about “the importance of links” and publishing lists of places to get links. Basing your search engine optimization on links is pretty uncompetitive and ineffective because there is so much more involved in the process. Also, through the years many people who follow the bad advice from SEO link mongers find their Websites lose rankings and search traffic every time the search engine add new filters and penalties. Search engines don’t like link manipulation schemes.

All that began to change in late 2006 when one SEO blogger broke away from the pack. His name was Michael Martinez and he launched a blog called SEO Theory. Through the SEO Theory blog Michael has published hundreds of articles that show people how to analyze search results, how to do real competitive SEO, how to improve on-page optimization, even how to acquire links with the least chance of failure and in the most efficient way possible. Martinez does not like black hat search engine spam and his techniques are considered to be among the best white hat tactics and methods in the industry.

While there are some people who (perhaps out of jealousy) hold anti-Martinez points of view, SEO Theory has proven time and time again that it is the top resource for learning and understanding search engine optimization. The SEO theory blog has earned widespread accolades and recognition for its ground-breaking ideas and principles.

While you could certainly do a lot worse than to read the SEO Theory blog, it would be hard (if not impossible) to find a better place to study search engine optimization on the Web or in print. In fact, there are now many people who try to trick you into believing they are SEO theory experts. So far, there is only one expert in the field. You don’t have to look far to find him.
