The people of Australia is not happy about the cost of letting real estate. The boosts have been great in some areas and it is not uncommon to discover of rents jumping by more than 60% over the past couple of years. It is a situation that has left some individuals hard-pressed to make ends meet. Exasperating an already painful state of affairs, coming forecasting point to more anguish for renters in the years to come. The first home buyers grant has been responsible for over 55,000 renters taking the plunge into real etsate ownership since October last year. Now that the grant is being scaled back, there will naturally be more renters in the market to increment demand and power up the next flourish of rental price rises. Unemployment numbers are also expected to climb up, which in turn gets more young players into the rental market. The national emptiness rates are currently under 2%, with this number due to contract even farther over the next couple of years. But small vacancy values and full demand arent the only causes behind the rent rises. Homeowners are also being hit with greater bills such as local government rates and insurances, and tenants are becoming more wild with rent payments and correctly preserving the property. Rents need to increase so the owners can cover their monetary values. To make affairs darker renters will also need to wait for housing insurance Land lords are often quick to remark that renters should stop complaining about the prices and buy their personal homes. But this criticism should be directly at the people who have a choice between buying and renting, rather than the scrappers who have no other choice but to rent. The reality is that while it might seem like a logical and simple thought, it is just not that easy to buy a home at the moment.

If all that our readers master is gazing at a circle they draw on a piece of paperbecause we’ve described some of these more elaborate practicesthen they’ve really succeeded from some of the instructions they’ve received here. If they can learn how to gaze at the circle and not have the circle disappear as a thought or emotion comes to mind, then they’ve come a long way. Then we can start adding things to it in a wonderfully experimental way, with a whole lot of playfulness and joy. It’s very open-ended because this can easily become fantastically complex. It can open up realms of experience that are beyond our imagination at this point in time. I’m talking about other dimensions of being, and other dimensions of experience but not from the standpoint of a concept; instead, from a standpoint of Direct Experience. It’s a very different thing. You and I talked about this in the past and we might even have talked a little bit in the Everyday Sanyasin about the Tibetan practice of tumo, which is inner fire.
Yes, or you could use the practice as you’re walking on the sidewalk in a snowstorm. We did it simplywith colors, expanding the colors, and adjusting. Literally we’re just adjusting the colors, adjusting them here, adjusting them there, so that we still have our comfort level. We still have a sense of change, a sense of compassion, a sense of ease and peace. This is really wonderful, yet we have the winds of change blowing through it. What does fire need in order to keep going?
Fire needs fuel. It needs air. Now that’s really far out because the wind of change is the air that sustains the fire and helps the fire keep going.
That’s why I began to say, “Allow yourself to breathe, deepen your breath a little bit; don’t let it become too fast.” Then you came up with your own thing, turning the heat down a little bit. Let’s say it’s a cold day. You can do the practice and radiate this warmth throughout your system. In fact, because you’re radiating this warmth, people who see you, people who talk to you on the phone, will feel the option of being warmer inside. This is a real simple introduction to internal flame, internal heat, that you and the readers can begin to develop within themselves.
