Chamonix Ski Resort Provides a Superb Area for Ski Breaks

Chamonix Mont Blanc France is situated at the base of the wonderful Mount Blanc in the French Alps and is recognized as the climbing and skiing capital of France. The town has long been known as a true playground for extreme sports in both summer and winter. Chamonix Mont Blanc was chosen to hold the first Winter games back in 1924 – moreover it is also an area of exceptional vistas offering a lot of different things to the climber and tourist.

Differing from most purpose built snowboarding fields Chamonix is not a modern snowboarding area and has largely been preserved from the concrete monstrosities that blight a majority of the French Alps. It’s lucky to have not only and infamous ski area moreover an elegant and energetic center.

Chamonix is of ample size to insure there’s plenty enough for the holiday maker to do and see. For whatever type of break there is something to please anyone. Including a big sports center, spas, guided snowshoeing and local market; and lots of designer boutiques, bars and night-clubs, Chamonix Mount Blanc privides a choice of snowboarding, old town atmosphere and going out, that only a handful ski resorts can match.
