Contradictions of Diabetic Diets

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:39 am

It has become a common thing for diabetics to look through health/diabetic forums and read reviews for different types of diabetic diets. After a while it becomes pretty obvious that most of comments and opinions about one and the same diet contradict each other. Professional dietitians are not surprised by this fact.

All doctors know that treatment has to be chosen individually for every person. And diet is a treatment. So, it also has to be chosen individually. But it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t read any comments for diabetic diets. Of course you should. Just to be aware of new diet meal plans and other people’s experience of using them.

No matter what you read or hear remember that the only thing which diabetics have in common is their disease. Treatment is absolutely individual. By the way, you shouldn’t forget that diets are different for different types of diabetes.

At the meantime there are some general recommendations that are always given to people with all types of diabetes: eat healthy food (more fresh fruits and vegetables, less fat), avoid drinking alcohol, take everyday walks on fresh air, and keep yourself aside from stressful situations as we all know that stress intensifies any disease.
