Five Ways to Reduce Spending whilst on Your Snowboarding Breaks

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:30 pm

The United Kingdom banking system started to seize many months ago and it doesn’t seem destined to recover shortly. The economic slowdown, coupled with the unbelievable low value of the Sterling against the euro, and the annual snowboarding holiday begins to appear like a lot more of a treat than usual.

This season skiers have been returning back from the skiing vacations in the French Alps with stories about the great skiing conditions as well as the eye watering prices in ski resorts with prices higher than 33 percent on the same period last year. The good news is that there are a lot of reduced skiing holidays available, which in a lot of instances are compensating for the gain in costs in the skiing resorts. Still it is time to be money aware. Fortuitously we’ve put together a list to economising on Chamonix accommodation.

1. Take sandwiches with you and stay out of the mountain restaurants
2. Ski close to home – even with the strength of the Euro a week’s ski trip in France will cost you less than a trip across the pond
3. Discounted chalet holidays with breakfast dinner and wine included on all but one day
4. Smaller ski resorts will have both cheaper accommodation and lift passes
5. Shop in the valley instead of the ski resort if you’re on a self catered holiday
