Traffic Generation Basics – Your Marketing Plan

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:53 pm

You may already know all of the various traffic generation basics, but still find that your site still isn’t getting the amount of traffic that it deserves. This could be happening for a variety of reasons, and it is important to find out what those reasons are and make the necessary corrections.

The first thing to consider is what you are currently doing in terms of marketing. Are you actually using the traffic generation basics to get traffic? Do you even have a marketing plan? Marketing can be very time consuming, but if you want traffic, it is necessary. The days of ‘build it and they will come’ are over. There are billions of websites in existence, and unless you tell them you’ve built it, they aren’t coming! Don’t wait for them to come – go out and drag them in!

If you do have a marketing plan, and you actually are using the traffic generation basics, and you still aren’t getting the traffic, take a look at your marketing materials. Your signature files, your short ads, your solo ads, your PPC campaign text, and everything else you use in your traffic generation endeavors should be located in one file. Take a long look at it all. Maybe your words aren’t working.

Are you allowing enough time to employ your marketing plan each week? 90% of your working hours should be spent marketing your website and generating traffic. Most successful Internet Marketers make sure that they are working enough hours, and putting in the marketing time needed to make the income that they desire. Are you doing this? If not, you need to take a look at your schedule and make some changes.

If you are involved in joint venture deals, and you aren’t getting traffic, that is a real problem. It is time to take a look at those deals and see if you are in fact benefiting from them. If not, maybe it is time to find new JV partners who can get you the traffic that you need. It may also be a simple question of reworking an existing deal that you have with your current JV partners.

Take a look at your links as well. Do this by looking at your website statistics. Are the sites that are linking to you sending you any traffic? If not, you need to start a new linking campaign that will enable you to find sites that will send you the traffic you need. What about the forums that you are posting in? Are they as active as they once were? Start searching for new communities to hang out in to employ some traffic generation basics.

Take a long hard look at your marketing plan, and note what is working and what is not working. Try to determine what the problem is with the marketing actions that are not working, and do a little research to determine ways that you can improve what is working. If you don’t have a written marketing plan, now is the time to make one. You should write down what you are marketing, how you will market it, the marketing materials that you will use, and the amount of time you will spend on each marketing task each day or week.

Traffic is everything. If you’ve tried everything that you can think of and nothing is working to your satisfaction, maybe it is time to bring in some hired guns for traffic generation basics. Visit http://www.TheIMconnection.com to find more information on getting the help that you need right away! Traffic generation is an ongoing process. There is no end in site. Think about the big sites like Yahoo – even Yahoo still uses traffic generation basics!

Man versus Locusts

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:58 am

Locust Plagues are so serious to humankind’s civilization that it makes sense to do more research in order to stop them. One online think tank member and brilliant mind believes he may just have the answer. Mr. Warren Powers wants to use directional sound waves to stop locust storms in their tracks and prevent them from devastating crops and causing human starvation.

Warren states; “I suspect the sound energy to disrupt the flight of a swarm of locusts would be significant; I can’t even guess how that affects the economics of this device. If it does take a lot of energy to disrupt the flight of a single member in the swarm, then it becomes less of an interesting model to control locusts.”

Yes, but perhaps your concept could take into consideration two-uses of the same technology. First noise canceling to limit the sound emissions of the thundering locusts and two, sound waves to cause departure of flight. You know harmonics could also be used to slowly allow glaciers to deform without total collapse or cause small avalanches each day to prevent the biggie later or stop an Earthquake? All using similar high-powered theories of wave cancellation and sound barriers or walls, all virtual.

Warren states; “If it takes a widely dispersed sound pattern that simply causes such dissonance that the swarm signal is jammed, then that is more where my optimistic senses take my imagination.”

Indeed if your theories are right, then of course it will work. It would be very interesting to see what the sound engineers and acoustic/harmonic experts consider to be possible. It seems we have the technology doesn’t it?

It appears Mr. Warren Powers maybe onto a completely new area of acoustic and harmonic science one, which could not only solve our problem with locusts once and for all but also be the answer to many other serious problems caused by nature, which plague mankind. Imagine this in 2006.

Will Greater Competition in Gaming Notebooks Be Good for Us

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:20 am

Just a while ago it seemed like high performance notebooks were only being produced by a couple of specialist brands and were built to spec, not mass produced. I seriously doubt they shipped in any earth shattering volumes but they certainly generated tons of cash for the companies. These were the laptops you day dreamed about but were out of your grasp. Suppose you a power user they were basically the best laptops you could get. I would get very excited by them but I knew I couldn’t go out and buy laptops at the prices they were going for. Well established manufacturers have recently introduced their own gaming notebooks so its all changing as we speak.

Lowering prices are not typical is this sector so tier 1 brands should be making lots of cash. It’s an excellent chance for them to claw back gross markup as the markup on mainstream laptops are so minute nowadays. Convincing buyers to buy laptops is pretty easy for international brands. Had I been a smaller system builder I would definitely be thinking of strategies to react to this form of competition. I think once it becomes marketed to the masses it will not have the same appeal. I reckon the uneducated automatically feel safe by buying from a brand they are familiar with.

The laptops are surprisingly really good as well. In my view the smaller resellers should pounce on this if they are to prosper. Configurating the spec is a process all us enthusiasts prefer. These kinds of customers typically are well informed on the technology and would compare part for part. In a couple of scenario’s the power is far more important than the aesthetics for certain kinds of people.

This is outstanding news from a purchasers standpoint. Ultimately it will push prices down even further and make the premium technology even more affordable for gamers. Its difficult to say what will occur really because the industry is a fast evolving one. I believe technology is getting more better but the latest laptops will usually be pricey. Even though I still guess outcomes will be good due to the overcrowded sector, we will have to watch.

OCD – Don’t Look Back in ANGER

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:55 am

How is it that an OCD sufferer can never leave a room or walk through a door without looking back?

Why do we fight the urge to look back? Well let me tell you? It is because we find ourselves going back to fluff up the cushions, god only knows how many times the doors are checked to see if they are locked before retiring to bed, that trickle of glistening water on the draining board needs to be wiped. No matter how tired we are someone has to straighten the rug or dust the television. Whatever it takes for peace of mind an OCD victim will do it.

Actions of an over OCD sufferer is very similar to that of Feng Shui followers, where prosperity energy and good luck comes to those if objects/furniture is placed in the right location. Our daily habits are duplicated in a similar manner only we do not seek prosperity and luck it is that of peace and contentment.

Over compulsive disorder is recognized as a disability it is one of the top ten causes that destroys a person physically/mentally.

Approx over 5 million US citizens will develop it if not already suffer from OCD.

What is so frightening about over compulsive disorder is not to know the statistics behind it all.

Fatigue is a major factor that leaves us so lethargic all because our brain focuses on the next chore before we start the first.

Children can develop OCD and have obsessive rituals like keeping toys in order, teens also fall under the spell.

Mum/dad if you notice any change in your child’s behaviour then get help fast. If left to fester then this disease will spread out of control. The early bird catches the worm, nip it in the bud.

I am not sure of any proven cure but help is out there to ease the stress, OCD is serious, it murders the mind.
A recent research proved children in their preschool years have a strong chance of developing OCD. Most adults battling OCD will have been affected since in their teens.

Repetitive thoughts and odd behaviour as some outsiders would see it become a part of our life where it takes over our life

Obsessions and compulsions is where a victim experiences disturbing thoughts and ideas?
These senseless and stressful symptoms are enough to destroy the sane. To ease anxiety we get an urge to repeat some actions over and over again.

OCD is a part of me where I can not imagine life without it. What would I do if ever this condition was to take leave?

I would live life to the full and walk down the road of freedom with a promise to myself that I will never look back. http://www.benidormbeaches.com

Solar Power Can Knock Money off Your Electricity Bill

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:58 pm

As the price of carbon based fuels continue to rise, many concerned people are burying their heads in the sand. Some homeowners however are turning to the installation of the solar panels that will allow them to make use of the energy of the sun to provide energy for their houses.

When energy prices were low, it was unnecessary to justify the upfront outlay of money required to install photovoltaic equipment, solar water heaters and similar equipment. The reason was simple to understand – it would simply take too long to recoup the cost of the equipment in the form of lower energy bills.

But prices are now higher than many of us ever expected. As energy prices continue to go up, the amount of time required to recoup the upfront cost goes down. In addition, a number of state and local tax incentives make it even easier for homeowners to go solar and save money right away.

The dynamics of this economy have now changed though. The costs of installing solar panels is still high, with a typical two kilowatt installation of solar panels from OVR Solar costing about £10,000 / ($20, 000) in most cases, but special tax incentives and long term energy savings can help homeowners recoup those upfront costs faster than ever before.

For example, the Federal government provides homeowners with a tax savings of up to 30% of the cost of a solar unit. This tax savings can help eligible homeowners recoup some of the costs of installing solar panels and solar water heating systems up front, in addition to the energy savings they will enjoy down the road.

Some states will offer homeowners who install qualifying solar panel or water heating systems to write off a portion of the cost against tax liability, while others will provide a standard tax credit based on kilowatt usage. Still others provide tax relief in the form of property tax reductions or elimination, and many states provide businesses, government agencies and commercial enterprises with special tax breaks as well.

Try running some estimates once you have some figures to see how long it might take for you to break even at today’s fuels prices. However, as the prices for heating oil, gas and other forms of traditional energy continue to soar, so too will the desire for energy freedom.

Take the first step to energy self sufficiency with OVR Solar.

    Glass

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:53 pm

History indicates that glass has been in use since the Stone Age. Around 7500 BCE glass in its natural form, obsidian, was utilized to fashion tools. Detailed descriptions on glass-blowing techniques were documented as early as 1500 BCE in Egypt. The Egyptians used glass to glaze pottery before it was fired.

Natural glass is of many kinds: obsidian is glass formed by volcanic eruptions, when masses of naturally occurring silica fuse with intense heat to form glass that is hard, shiny, opaque, and either black, red, or green; tektites and Libyan desert glass are created by meteoritic impacts with the earth or moon; and fulgurites are a kind of glass created by lightning when it strikes sand containing minerals that comprise glass.

Early methods of making glass objects were cumbersome and tedious. Casting, core forming, or cutting techniques were time-consuming and so glass was a luxury item as precious as gold. The discovery of glass blowing in the Eastern Mediterranean region in the first century BCE revolutionized glassmaking, and soon many parts of Europe, especially Venice, were renowned for glass objects of use and decoration. Since then, glass has found many uses in the making of household objects, architectural panes, scientific and industrial products, in the field of medicine and health, and as expressions of art.

The glass we use today is man-made and fashioned from silica, calcium oxide, and sodium carbonate or potash. Variations in glass are then obtained by using additives like lead to create lead crystal or flint glass; boron to make unbreakable heat-resistant glass; thorium oxide to make lenses; and iron to make glass that absorbs infrared energy. Beautiful colors are obtained by including metals and metal oxides. Manganese lends an iridescent amethyst shade, selenium gives red, cobalt blue, tin oxide and antimony produce white, copper oxide gives a turquoise hue, and nickel makes violet or even black. Artisans and manufacturers experimented with different additives to produce a wide range of glass.

What Pliny wrote in his Natural History, “…There is no other material that is more pliable or more adaptable even to painting…” is true of glass even today. Glass has mirrored the life of mankind from ancient times to modern. Its uses move along with innovations of life and, from being used in ancient tools, glass now finds use in space research, marine exploration, and scientific tools. It is a medium that gives expression to flights of imagination and poetry.

Glass provides detailed information on Glass, Auto Glass, Stained Glass, Depression Glass and more. Glass is affiliated with Bathroom Mirrors.

    An Attitude of Gratitude

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:23 am

It was a typical Christmas day in Jamaica back in those days. The loud intermittent bursts of firecrackers accompanied by the joyous shouts of “CHRIS’MUS” disturbed the otherwise serene evening. “Chris’mus is in the air!”

“Well mek we grab it and tek it back to da groun’ so we all can enjoy it” Came the sly remark as laughter once again filled the skies and tall glasses filled with ice and sorrel heavily laced with white rum clink together to celebrate the joyous season. Dominoes were banging everywhere. “Yu double six dead bwai. Get up from roun’ da table. Next patient same treatment.”

A new pair sits at the table in an attempt to dethrone the domino champions while the losers fix themselves another round of white rum and milk. Teenage boys sip their beers slowly, willing it to last as long as the night. The last presents had long been opened and all the other formalities dispensed with. The material of the day was calico, and women were draping themselves in their newly made calico dress. The men, the epitome of GQ, were stylishly clad in their black suits with a white or red handkerchief protruding from their left breast pocket. The black felt hat tilted to one side of the head and the cane or black umbrella swinging from the right hand as they walked gaily down the street, their patent leather shoes reflecting the evening sun. They were headed to stage shows, dance halls, downtown to the Ward theatre to watch the pantomime, or to Cross Roads to tek in a picture show. Children still dressed in their Sunday best, lips and tongues reddened by the strawberry syrup they were sucking from snowcones they bought at the fair earlier that day were blowing fifis and horns and the lucky ones showing off their newest toys or bragging about the nice shoes or pretty dress they got for Christmas. All were dancing and prancing around imitating the John Canoe dancers they had been watching.

My mother had just finished her dinner. It was her favorite dish. A large helping of rice and beans, fricassee chicken, fried plantain with lettuce and tomatoes and a tall glass of sour sop juice. She was getting ready for a stage show when she felt some feign cramps in her stomach. The baby wasn’t ready to come, she thought to herself. Plus she was looking forward to the stage show and nothing was going to keep her away. She was about to find out however, that this time around there was something different about these feign cramps that had been teasing her for a week. Before long the cramps became more forceful and frequent. An alarm was raised, neighbors summoned. Miss Hall, Miss Madlyn, Miss vie, Auntie Emily, all older more experienced women rushed to her aid. A cab was hailed and shortly thereafter I was delivered at the Victoria Jubilee hospital. The celebrations could no longer continue without me.

That was forty years ago this Christmas. Oftentimes when people would say “Oh you are a Christmas Baby!” I would joking reply ” Yes, all my life I’ve been deprived. I only get one present every year”. That’s one way to look at my birth. I could also take the point of view that I was the best Christmas present my mother ever got or that life was the best Christmas present I ever got. The truth is that there are far worst things that could have happened to me that being born on Christmas day.

The lesson here for all of us is that through out our lives many unwelcome, unfavorable things will happen to us. We will face challenges and circumstances that are truly difficult. But we need to be truly thankful. Now I am not suggesting that we walk around grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat happy that we have problems. That would make no sense at all but no matter what problems we face there are dozens if not hundreds of good things that are happening or have happened in our lives an it would be fool hardy to allow this one thing as difficult as it may be suck the joy form the rest of your life.

    Focus on what you want

Yes I know that I am beginning to sound like a broken record but it true, thoughts are things and since we tend to move in the direction of our dominant thoughts, lo and behold they get more of the very things they want to rid their lives of. Stop focusing so much on the 10% of your life that isn’t working. Work on resolving the issues but never loose sight of the 90% that IS working.

What good can come of this?

Growing up in Jamaica I always heard the adage “The donkey says the world is level”. If I could translate it a second time in plain old English..life isn’t fair. From my experience life has never been neither will it ever be fair. Somebody else will always have a nicer house, better clothes, have more fulfilled relationships, take better vacations…the list goes on. I didn’t think it was fair when from time to time I had to attend elementary school barefooted. It wasn’t fair that in high school I started my athletic career barefooted. But I am certainly thankful that I had an opportunity to get a good education and those bar feet, bow legged and all had the opportunity to run on ice at the Olympic Games. Someone once said that every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit. For me life’s early uneven handedness made me more focused and determined to succeed.

    Adopt a positive attitude

As Richard Paul Evans said “It is in the darkest night that the brightest stars are seen. Adopt a positive attitude and you will see your set backs as opportunities, your stumbling blocks as stepping stones, your challenges as wings to soar.”

Over Thanksgiving my family and I went to Jamaica for our vacation and with so many people trying to escape the North American cold to enjoy the languid waves and the white sands of Negril we had few challenges with booking the hotel rooms. I had legitimate reasons to gripe and moan but I know that would have made everybody miserable so I chose to adopt a positive attitude and we ended up having a wonderful time.

An attitude of gratitude doesn’t suggest that we ignore reality and our problems but rather that we take charge of our emotions, subdue our frustrations, resolve the issues and avoid the vicious circle of whining and complaining. So, for the next forty years whenever someone say “Oh you’re a Christmas Baby” I’ll say “Yes, and that first Christmas, I got the best present of all… Life”
